‘Geomix’, the title of the poster selected for the 18th edition of Ecozine Film Festival, is by the graphic designer Alfredo León Mañú from Navarre. The work presents a grid with a composition that brings together elements of cinema and the environment, in different colours and on a white background. The competition, which was open to residents in Spain, received around a hundred designs.

The film "Nuked/Bombed" (Canada, 2023), by Andrew Nisker won the chameleon" at International Documentary, and"Unsustainable, on the trail of waste", by Christophe Sion won the award in the National Documentary Feature Film category.
The Berta Cáceres Award, in honor of the Honduran activist assassinated in 2016, went to the "Consejo del
Mayan People" of Guatemala. Lolita Chávez collected the award, who moved the audience with her speech.

The 17th edition of the Ecozine Film Festival brought a "green carpet" to IES Miguel Catalán a "green carpet" to IES Miguel Catalán with a meeting of young people from that school with filmmakers Harko Wubs and Stefan Demming, directors of the German short film "Pig brother". In addition, the IES Miguel Catalán held for the third time, within the framework of the Ecozine Film Festival, its Eco Movies competition, in which more than a hundred young people from the fourth year of secondary school, in Biology, English, Economics, Music and Plastic Arts, took part. After the screening of the eight finalists and the voting, the German production "Pig brother" was screened, a blackly humorous critique of the fact that in Germany, as in many places on the planet, there are millions of pigs that are part of the food supply, but are never seen outside.
