His idea is also to film the trip with his family’s old super-8 camera but he discovers that, after 41 years of disuse, it can no longer tape sound. The forgotten path and the mute camera will become, along with a donkey called Paolo, the protagonists of a journey full of memories, question marks and silence.

This is the story of 4 villages: Mediano, Clamosa, Javierre de Ara and Finestres. Their houses were abandoned, evicted or even flooded as a result of the construction of reservoirs. We know the personal stories of our protagonists, showing the sequence of abandonment through their eyes. Thus understanding what this situation meant for them and their families. The documentary shows how they had to rebuild their lives far from home and endure the passage of time turning their villages into forgotten places.
